Custom Orders
Please read everything below so there is no confusion. I offer commissions on jewelry only at the moment, however I hope to expand that field very shortly into other mediums such as poly clay and fabrics.
Since all my pieces are hand made and each one is different it's difficult to put a price on the commission alone. The cheapest commission will still cost you average about $8 USD. (These are normally small Cellphone charms, or Bookmarks) A normal piece will cost on average about $15-$30 depending on the complexity.
Tips for keeping the price down
Here are a few tips to help keep the cost of your commission down.
Be open to different types of materials: Gems are great, but their expensive, the same as pearls. Glass gems and pearls look nice but are a lot cheaper.
Be open to different colors shades: Lapis Lazuli and Turquoise are both blues, one is a darker color and the other light. However Turquoise cost a lot more then Lapis. If general colors are not a problem, different stones can substitute.
Keep it simple: Don't go all out with all the fancy frills like complicated wire work. It might look nice, but your pocket might be hurting
Buy in Sets: If you want a necklace and earnings, buy a commission with them together. If I can buy all the materials at once, you save me time, and your self money. Plus you wont run the risk of having an item or stone discontinued while you wait.
Pay Attention: I order things for the store at different times of the year, Of course I'm not just going to tell you what those times of the years are (because I'm always changing them anyways.) However I'll make sure that I make a note that I'm doing a large shipment order. Times like these I can work with you on pricing since I will be ordering things retail.
If all else fails...Ask!: I'm willing to work with any one on a price. I have my limits but if your budget doesn't allow for you to get everything you want, I'm sure we can come out to a reasonable arrangement.
The Waiting Game
Because each item is not only hand made but tested for flaws, 2-3 weeks is needed minimum to work on any project, so please be patient. Also because they take so long to make, I will only be accepting 10 commissions at a time. (for the time being at least)
Since I'm still new to a lot of things on the site, I can't offer this now, but in the near future I hope to have a mailing list that will feature an up to date synopsis of what commission is where and if any spots have open up. I'll put up more information as soon as it becomes available.
Ordering and Billing
Ordering is easy, just email me at Nefidean@gmail.com and include a detail description of what you want to do. If it's in my means of doing I'll let you know right away, and put you in an available spot. I need to know the following.
Why type of piece it is.
Main colors, and complimentary colors
Style choices
Any allergies to metals or scents, piercing or other useful information.
Time Limit*
Any other information that I might need, I'll ask directly, for instance ring sizes. Once the order is verified, I'll hunt down the best bargains I can find and email you a price on the piece.
*Please allow a month's notice to a time limit out of respect for those who are in front of you. This does not include the 2-3 week construction time needed to complete the piece.
