Dusting off the Shelves 03/27/2010
Well I guess I'm not doing a very good job of keep up to date with the blog. Considering that the shop isn't really open yet, I suppose that isn't a bad thing. I've been busy with lots of different things. I have tried my hands at a lot of new projects but the wedding that my fiance and I are having in September (and the fact that I'm making the majority of the items) has been eating up not only a lot of my time and focus, but of course money as well. However with the last couple of days I have been experimenting with some new products that are easy to make for me and keep my hands on something while waiting for things to happen. As I now have a decent supply of them, I figure I could at least test out the best shipping and selling of items on the site. I'm hoping to gain a bit of a head way to at least buy more supplies while I'm waiting for the wedding to be over with and save up for some major items I need to run the shop properly. In other news, we now have a new partner. Neko, my friend from high school, has agreed to become a partner with us and will be honing her skills in sewing. As a talented artist herself, I look forward to not only working with her, but seeing the pieces that she creates. A lot of things are going on in the world of Phoenix Perch, so please stay with us as we continue to bring you more things in the future! ~Nefidean Site Update: Feels Like Home. 11/04/2009
It might be a long way from finished but this place is starting to feel more like home! I still need to fiddle with some of the pages and add a few more but I am starting to like how this is coming along. It actually feels like my own site with things that say me instead of a cookie cutter feel that most sites tend to have when done through a free hosting. I'm still trying to figure out a lot of the HTML, so don't be freaked out when you see something out of place for the next couple of weeks. The Phoenix's Flame's First Post 10/31/2009
This is the start of a new blog for the shop. Not only will it give you an inside look on the inner workings of the shop, the site, and a bit of our personality as well. Right now though it is after 2 am here in Nefi world and my mind does not produce coherent thoughts well. Right now there isn't a lot going on here on the site, I'm looking at the HTML and the program files needed to use with the graphics in a coherent layout that is all my own, as well as getting my old camera replaced so I can upload photos of my work and hopefully actually sell things. Next weekend I will be going to a Bead Expo and purchase some new beads and findings to start some unique items. Until then! |
